Physical Education

Wayne Herninko is starting his thirty fourth year of teaching Health and Physical Education and his nineteenth year at Glebe Elementary. A native of the Philadelphia suburbs, “Mr. H.” graduated from the University of Delaware in 1993 with his Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education and earned his Masters in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in 2006. Mr. Herninko lives with his family in Prince William County and enjoys running, reading, leadership coaching as a side-hustle and searching Spotify for 80s song he didn’t know he forgot.

Mr. Hailey has been in education since 2013. He began his career teaching in Fairfax after a long corporate career living in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and 2 kids. He taught at both elementary and high school and also has been an administrator for multiple years as well. He enjoys in his free time helping kids through his work as a baseball umpire, basketball referee, and volleyball referee now. He also enjoys a good round of golf with friends when isn't on the field or the court. His wife is a longtime educator as well and both of his kids attend school in APS or graduated from an APS school. He lives by this moto: A man is only as good as his name.
