895 students visit Caps practice!

Glebe was fortunate to be invited to celebrate history. Our 4th and 5th graders went on Wednesday morning to Capitals Iceplex to celebrate the GOAT, Alexander Ovechkin, and his latest accomplishment- scoring 895 goals and passing Wayne Gretzy’s 894 goals… a new world record!!! The Capitals teamed up with APS and invited various schools to come watch the practice. The goal was to get 895 students in the stands to honor this achievement. Students and some Glebe staff had a fantastic time celebrating, cheering on Ovi and the Caps, and showing off our signs. We are lucky!
