Summer Reading is here!

Keep reading this summer with both Glebe’s Summer Reading and Arlington Public Library Summer Reading!

The Glebe Summer Reading theme is “Read Your Way Across the USA!” in celebration of the US’s 250th birthday. Students will receive a tracker and can  color in a state for each day that they read over the summer. As families travel, they are encouraged to send a postcard from their travels to Glebe. In the fall, we will display all of the postcards we receive — can we get to all 50 states? Traveling outside of the US? Feel free to send us a postcard, too! In addition, students who bring their tracker to the Glebe Bingo Night in the fall will receive a coupon for a free Kona Ice that night.

The Arlington Public Library theme is ‘Plant a Seed, Read’. Each student will receive an APL tracker and can cross off the days that they read over the summer. Once they read 30 days between June 1 and September 1, take the tracker to any APL location and receive prizes! Read for an additional 30 days and receive more prizes.
